Flames Burn Rams

My soccer team won the first game of the season! The other three seasons I’ve played, we’ve never won a single game.

When we played, the Rams did not score at all, thanks to Lily, our goalie.

On the Rams, from our homeschool co-op, there were Hannah, Cecilia and Peter. They are my friends.

On the Flames, aside from Lily, there was Betsy, Elizabeth, Hannah, Charlie (who is a girl), Rebecca, Stephanie, Madeline, and me. Isaac, the only boy, was missing. Our coach has been my coach for all three seasons. She is Madeline’s mother.

The winning goal was scored by Elizabeth. She is only seven years old.

Our game was on the 15th of September.

The way we got the goal was that the goalie’s fingers kind of slipped over the top of the ball and it rolled in!

It was the best day ever!

The Dance Class

My first ballet class was on Monday, September 11. This is how I got ready: first, I put on my stockings; then I put on my leotard. The last thing I put on is my ballet shoes.

In class we galloped sideways, and we bowed. We also did pliƩs.

We put on our tap shoes for tap class next. Then we did tap. We practiced shuffles and doing “tap, together, clap.”

My teacher’s name is Miss Chrissy. She is beautiful and nice. She is a good dancer, too.

I like dance class.

Bright Eyes

Hi. There's this great movie called Bright Eyes, and it's really great. Shirley Temple was in it.

In the movie, there's a little girl called Shirley, and she wishes she could live with a man named Loop. She is not going to live with him because a rich man wants her to live with him. The rich man loved her, too.

My favorite part was when Shirley Temple went in the airplane.

I hope you get to watch Bright Eyes, too.

The end.

Introduction to Mom

Hi. I'm Kaitlyn and Amanda's mom. This is their blog, but with help from me. I am the moderator for their new venture, and I will be the one who looks at and approves any and all comments. To leave comments, you must have a blogger account. (This does not mean that you must start a blog, as far as I know, but it will eliminate anonymous comments.)

The girls named the blog themselves, though the URL was my idea. You can learn about Saint Ursula by clicking on the picture of her on the sidebar.

We all hope you enjoy the girls' blog. They will do their best to do their own typing. Pictures of our homeschooling adventures will be posted at times. My own posts will be few and limited. (I have my own blog, completely unconnected to this one, on which to do my own ranting.)
